IRCC now sends the officer's decision note with most refusals: temporary-resident applications refused since 29 July 2025 (visitor visas, super and transit visas, visitor records, study and work permits and their extensions) and permanent-residence applications refused since 26 May 2026. It does not send them for eTAs, temporary resident permits or humanitarian and compassionate applications.

Check your refusal documents and your IRCC account first. A decision note gives the final officer's reasons. A records request can add the case history, earlier notes and documents on your file. IRCC may hold back some parts.

Yes. Anyone, anywhere in the world, can ask IRCC for their own records under Canada's Privacy Act. It is free. You can do it in your own name, without a representative.

Paying us is optional. We charge for making the request for you, and for explaining the notes if you want that.

All services and prices

There are two separate clocks. Ours: We file within 24 hours of receiving your payment, documents and signed consent form (1 hour on Priority Complete, during office hours). For a file without its application number there is no set hour, because it can need extra steps first.

IRCC's: The law gives IRCC 30 days from receiving a request to reply, and lets it extend that by sending a notice. So we cannot promise a delivery date. Nobody can make IRCC reply faster, including us. Priority Complete changes how fast we file, not how fast IRCC replies.

100% refund if your notes are not delivered within 75 days of filing. If IRCC says it holds no records for you, you also get 100% back. You can cancel for a full refund any time before we file.
